Farm Tours

posted by Prairie Wind Alpacas    |   July 9, 2013 20:50

Have you ever met an alpaca? Felt how soft a cria is? We are always more than happy to give farm tours to anyone who is interested. This is a great experience for kids - they get to see and interact with an animal that they don't often see.
If you would like to arrange a farm tour give us a call or email us (bray@sasktel.net)

Less than a week

posted by Prairie Wind Alpacas    |   May 31, 2013 10:09

In less than one week we are expecting our first cria of the year! We go out to the pasture every hour now to go and check on the girls to see if anyone is in labour.
The females are pretty independent and don't require much, if any, assistance, however last year we had our first breech delivery so we like to go out and make sure everyone is ok!
